DAWN,
I GREW UP LIVING UPSTAIRS FROM ROBBY. THAT'S WHAT WE ALL CALLED HIM AND TO
ME HE WILL ALWAYS BE ROBBY. MEMORIES I HAVE PLENTY. MY MOM STILL LIVES
UPSTAIRS FROM JOYCE AND JACK. OUR FAMILIES HAVE MERGED AS ONE. WE ALL LOOK
AFTER EACH OTHER. A GREAT MEMORY OF GROWING UP IN DEEPDALE WITH THE
SPEISMANS WAS.....ON ANY GIVEN SNOWY DAY OR NO SCHOOL DAY. WE WOULD LOCK THE
OUTSIDE DOOR AND OPEN OUR HOUSE DOORS AND PLAY ON THE STEPS, AND ONE HOUSE
TO ANOTHER. IF ONE OF US KIDS WERE SICK AND COULD NOT GO PLAY IN THE SNOW,
JOYCE WOULD SET UP A BLANKET AND PUT US IN THE BAY WINDOW FOR ALL TO SEE.
THIS WAS THE NEXT BEST THING TO BEING OUTSIDE. ALL OUR NEIGHBORS, EDDY,
MARLO AND SCOTT MATTY, ROBIN JACOBS AND US WOULD GATHER AROUND AND THROW
SNOWBALLS OR PLAY IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE SO THE PERSON INSIDE WOULD BE PART
OF IT. NOT ONLY WAS THIS SPECIAL BUT I DON'T THINK TO MANY NEIGHBORS WERE
THIS CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. WE HAD A SPECIAL TIME GROWING UP NOT ONLY IN
DEEPDALE BUT GROWING UP WITH THE SPEISMANS. THANKS SUSAN
